- Vanilla Powder
Vanilla powder is made from our high quality Madagascar vanilla bean extract. To make it we spray the extract onto a silicon dioxide base and allow it to dry. This creates a free flowing powder that doesn’t have the speckle of ground vanilla or cause discoloration in foods the way vanilla extract can. It’s perfect when you need to maintain a perfect white color for meringue, frosting, or cream-based recipes.
In addition, vanilla powder can be used in so many other ways. Many pastry chefs toss homemade marshmallows in a mixture of powdered sugar and vanilla powder to add another layer of flavor. (We love this mixture for chocolate crackle cookies, too.) Use a spoonful in homemade chai or coffee to make mornings a little sweeter.
