Far East rub is one of the most unique spice blends. The twelve spices – which range from thyme, lemongrass, basil, and star anise – all herald from very different parts of Asia. The result is a blend that’s hard to pin down. Does it smell like an Indian vindaloo? A Chinese stir-fry? A Burmese noodle soup? A warm bread from Bhutan? Perhaps a grilled fish from Taiwan?
Regardless, this blend works wonders in many applications. We love to use it poultry, seafood, venison, pork, and beef (so really, anything). Add to sauces, vinaigrettes, and marinades to lend them a bit of foreign intrigue. If you have a party coming up try adding it to deviled eggs or guacamole.
